If anyone has early photos of our locos, carriages, wagons and buildings etc (or any Wanganui Rail history) during their working careers we would love to see them.

BT 4 Wheeled Tank Wagon

BT 8209 (E 6007) Twin Tank Wagon to carry first Bulk Tallow and then converted to carry light Fuel Oil for Locos. Built on W 610 Insulated meat wagon underframe. The club received this on the 25 May 2000 (Rail Heritage Trust Wagon).

Lc 43016 to Lc 54732 (TMS) 4 wheeled High sided wagon.  This was part of the Friends of the Waverley Railway Station group until this group folded a few years ago. We were donated this wagon by them. We took delivery of this wagon on the 23th of July 2013 with help from Emmetts Crane's.

Wellington-Manawatu Railway Company (WMRC) 4 wheeled wagons, then Castlecliff Railway Company. 3 wagons built in 1896, 1901 and 1907 (possible L class high side wagons). Retrieved from Whanganui River in 1999 (owned by SteamRail).

Xa 4 Wheeled Box Wagon (body/box only)

Xa 2052 (body only) was built in 1934. It was used as a shed. SRW was donated this in 2003 and took delivery of this wagon body on the 4 of March 2003 with help from Emmetts Cranes and Hoskin Transport.

XP 2964 (underframe only) ex wooden 4 wheeled box wagon.  Rebuilt as flat deck by Imlay Freezing Works here in Wanganui to carry wool. Club received this on 8 March 2002 (owned by SteamRail).

Donated to SRW by Waverley group. Took delivery of this wagon on the 13th of Feb 2018 with help from Emmetts Crane's and TIL (Hookers) Transport.

4 Wheeled Flat Deck Wagon

Possible M wagon built in 1878. Now 4 wheeled underframe only. Has same axle boxes as a D carriage had but underframe too short for D carriage. Received this in Aug 2007 (privately owned by Ewan Pound and Blair Jordan).
